This program is funded through the Illinois State Board of Education, Prevention Initiative grant.

Peoria County Bright Futures has a very family friendly program for pregnant moms, and new moms & dads. We provide a wide range of support services to help a family through this very special time. Babies and toddlers do not come with a parent manual, but there are often many questions new parents have regarding, infant and toddler developmental milestones that ‘your special little one’ grows into.  All Peoria communities are served, outside the Peoria City limits. A kind and caring, PAT certified staff person will plan to visit with you. (PAT: Parents As TeachersThis program places special attention on first time parents, at risk families, and teen parents.

Each family may recieve these services, as needed on an individual basis.

  • Personal visits twice a month

  • Recognize, build and develop on each family's Strengths

  • Infant Toddler developmental screenings for any child, age birth to three

  • PAT parenting curriculum for birth to 3 years old.

  • Friendly support groups to meet other new parents

  • Resource connections to other agencies, if needed

  • Special parent events throughout the year

  • Information to help you better understand  Parenting
