Ameren came yesterday to speak to our 5th graders about ways to use energy and water more efficiently at home, school and in the community!💡

Mrs. Sutton had her 7th and 8th grade science students complete a STEM challenge yesterday. They had to build a tall tower that could hold a weighted block. It’s always fun to see engineering minds at work!🧱

Join us on Saturday, October 14th to view the partial annular solar eclipse at Tower Park. The eclipse will occur between 11am and 1pm with the maximum coverage being at 11;56 when 49% of the sun is blocked by the moon. Our science department will have telescopes and solar viewers setup to view this rare event!🌙

Mr. Smith’s shop classes recently toured Morton Industries and attended a manufacturing expo hosted by ICC!🤍



Our 7th graders ended their day with a fun balloon game! They had to hold hands in a circle and move toward the end of the parking lot while hitting their balloon into the air using different body parts!🎈

October is National Bullying Prevention Month! We are recognizing and highlighting the wonderful ways our students show up for others. Today, Amariyah complemented another student’s sentence during RTI and earned a point! Way to go!🤩

Our 8th graders attended CareerSpark at the Civic Center today where they got to interact with local professionals. They had the opportunity to act out careers through hands-on activities to prepare them for a future career path!😊
